The Hon. High Court of Karnataka has approved the following settlement arrived at between the South City Group Housing Apartment Owners Association (SUGRUHA) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T):
1. To constitute a committee of residents of South City, to be known as the 'South City Maintenance Committee' (SCMC) consisting of the following members:

1. R. Rajagopalan (B3-502)
2. S. Banerjee (C1-305)
3. C. Vedanthan (B1-203)
4. K. Satyamurthy (B1-604)
5. C.N. Subramanian (B1-1803)

2. This Committee will be designated and appointed as the Official Receiver under Order 40 Rule 1 of the Code of Civil Procedure.
3. This Committee will formally takeover the responsibility for the maintenance of the complex from L&T with effect from June 1, 2013
4. However, L&T will continue to maintain the complex for the month of June 2013 on behalf of this Committee. From July 1, 2013, the Committee will completely takeover maintenance as the receiver of the Court.
5. The Committee will collect suitable maintenance charges from all apartments for the month of June 2013 onward. It will pay Rs. 50 lakhs to L&T towards the cost of maintenance for June 2013, subject to settlement of final accounts. Any shortfall in meeting this payment will be deducted from the maintenance corpus. 

6. L&T will continue to maintain the corpus in Fixed Deposits and is committed to transfer all interest earned on the Corpus to this Committee for partially meeting the maintenance expenses.
In view of the above, all owners/ residents of South City are informed that they must pay maintenance charges from June 2013 onward only to this Committee. Detailed instructions, including amounts, mode of payment etc. will be announced in the next couple of days.
Those of you who may have already paid to L&T for June 2013 and beyond also have to make the above payments to this Committee but the amounts already paid to L&T will be adjusted in the final settlement of accounts.
